About the Artist

With a lifelong connection to the arts, the artist behind Firestone Pottery began her journey with clay in 2005 while completing a Graphic Design diploma. What began as an exploration at a local pottery studio quickly developed into a lasting passion for ceramics. Over the past two decades, she has continued to develop her practice through memberships in communal studios and participation in workshops, while remaining largely self-taught. Her approach to ceramics is driven by curiosity, creativity, and a love of the handmade. Her work encompasses both sculptural and functional pieces, blending artistic expression with objects designed to be enjoyed in everyday life. The name Firestone Pottery has a personal connection to her heritage, originating from her German family name, Fetz von Feuerstein, which translates to “Fetz from Firestone.” Today, she is grateful to have the opportunity to pursue her creative dream, transforming clay into one-of-a-kind ceramic works that invite connection, character, and enjoyment into the lives of those who collect and use them.
